What is COMPACT?
The Compact is an agreement between voluntary and community sector groups and the statutory sector which allows both sides to work together and understand what to expect from each other.
The Cambridgeshire Compact is our local version and has the following aims.
- makes it clear what both sides should expect
- agrees to work towards 3-year funding
- recommends 12 weeks notice of changes
- helps problem-solving
- contains 4 Good Practice Codes.
This is supported by the Compact Funding and Commissioning Code which sets out what we should expect from our statutory sector funders.
A well as the local compact there is also a national compact. More information on this and about Compacts can be used can be found on the on the Compact Voice website.Compact Voice are an independent organisation who are the voice of the voluntary sector on the Compact. Their website contains resources, information and advice on how to develop positive cross-sector relationships and how the Compact can best be used.
