Trustee

Organisation: Cambridge Aid

Cambridge Aid is a small, highly effective, 143-year old local charity that helps vulnerable people with small grants for food, essential furniture, white goods, IT equipment, and other necessities. 99% of the funds we raise go directly to the people we help.

To ensure that help is given quickly to people in urgent need, we work closely with other local organisations and charities such as Citizens Advice.

Cambridge Aid is made up of a small team of dedicated volunteers who are passionately committed to helping the most vulnerable people in our community. Our Trustees take on different responsibilities, depending on their experience.

We are looking for a new Trustee with some Investment experience or knowledge. You do not need to be an expert, this is a voluntary role.

The charity meets once a month from 6-8pm on Mondays near Cambridge station (with online option to attend if more convenient).

And the Investment Sub-Committee meets online approximately every quarter, again in the evening about 7.30pm, on a date that suits the Sub-Committee.

So, if you want to help us to help people in need in the Cambridge area please contact:

The Chair of Cambridge Aid, Joel Limmer, for an informal chat on 07445 803 599 or email your CV or any queries to secretary@cambridgeaid.org
